Job Description

LTD. is excited to offer a unique opportunity for a motivated and dedicated Warehouse Forklift Trainee to join our dynamic team in Jozani, Zanzibar South & Central. As a trainee, you will undergo comprehensive hands-on training, supervised by experienced operators and warehouse managers, to master the safe and effective operation of various types of forklifts. This intensive training program will cover everything from daily pre-operation checks, basic maneuvering, and understanding load capacities, to advanced material handling techniques and proper loading/unloading procedures, all in strict adherence to stringent safety protocols and company policies. You will also learn critical aspects of modern warehouse management, including the proper receiving, storing, and dispatching of goods, efficient inventory control using both manual and potentially digital systems, and the paramount importance of maintaining a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in all training modules related to forklift operation and warehouse safety.
  • Learn to safely operate forklifts under direct supervision, including lifting, stacking, and moving materials.
  • Assist with the loading and unloading of goods from trucks and containers.
  • Help organize and maintain the warehouse layout, ensuring efficient storage and retrieval of products.
  • Conduct daily pre-operation checks on forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
  • Assist with inventory counting and reconciliation.
  • Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate PPE.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth warehouse operations.

Required Skills

  • Ability to read and write in English or Kiswahili.
  • Strong willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures.
  • Good physical condition and ability to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 25 kg).
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a manual labor or warehouse environment (any role).
