ASDA is seeking dedicated Warehouse Pickers to join our essential distribution team in Leeds. This role involves using various manual handling equipment and potentially operating powered pallet trucks (after training) to move items efficiently and safely. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick and pack customer orders according to specified quantities and quality standards.
- Operate manual handling equipment, and potentially powered pallet trucks (PPTs) or other MHE, safely and efficiently after appropriate training.
- Perform regular checks on products for damage or discrepancies, reporting any issues promptly.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment in line with health and safety regulations.
- Assist with stock replenishment, ensuring shelves and picking locations are well-stocked.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve daily picking targets and operational goals.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including those related to food safety and hygiene where applicable.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the warehouse operations.
- Participate in regular inventory counts and stock audits as required.
Required Skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.

- Basic numeracy and literacy skills for reading pick lists and counting stock.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or similar picking/packing role.
- Experience operating manual handling equipment or powered pallet trucks (PPTs).
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS).
- A valid forklift license or experience with other Material Handling Equipment (MHE).
