Job Description
Career.zycto is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Welder, proficient in both MIG and TIG processes, to join our bustling fabrication facility in Downtown Royal Oak. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for executing precise welds on various materials, primarily steel, stainless steel, and aluminum, following detailed blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of welding metallurgy, be adept at setting up and operating various welding equipment, including arc welding, and demonstrate a keen eye for detail to ensure structural integrity, dimensional accuracy, and aesthetic finish of all fabricated parts. You will interpret complex technical documents, select appropriate welding techniques and filler materials, and perform necessary fit-up and grinding operations to prepare materials for welding. Safety is paramount at Career.zycto, and you will be expected to adhere strictly to all company and industry safety protocols, utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation at all times.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform MIG and TIG welding on various materials, including steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
- Interpret and work from blueprints, engineering drawings, and welding symbols.
- Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment, ensuring optimal performance.
- Inspect finished welds for quality, integrity, and adherence to specifications.
- Perform grinding, cutting, and other metal fabrication tasks as required.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, procedures, and company policies.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and project completion.
- Identify and troubleshoot welding issues, suggesting and implementing corrective actions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and training programs.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in MIG (GMAW) welding.
- Proficiency in TIG (GTAW) welding.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols.
- Strong understanding of welding principles, metallurgy, and fabrication techniques.
- Experience with various metal types (steel, stainless steel, aluminum).
- Familiarity with welding equipment setup and maintenance.
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPE.

Preferred Qualifications
- AWS certification (e.g., Certified Welder).
- Vocational training or an Associate's degree in Welding Technology.
