Job Description

Career.zycto is excited to partner with a premier wellness studio in the heart of Holgate, York, to find an inspiring and dedicated Yoga Instructor fluent in English. As a Yoga Instructor, you will be the guiding force in helping students cultivate physical strength, mental clarity, and spiritual balance. Your role will involve leading engaging classes, demonstrating proper techniques, and providing modifications to ensure accessibility and safety for all participants. Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and lead engaging and safe yoga classes tailored to various skill levels (beginner to advanced).
  • Demonstrate proper yoga postures, breathing techniques, and meditation practices clearly and effectively.
  • Provide hands-on adjustments and modifications as needed to ensure student safety and enhance their practice.
  • Cultivate a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive environment for all participants.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of yoga philosophy, anatomy, and alignment principles.
  • Manage class schedules, student attendance, and studio equipment as required.
  • Actively engage with students before and after classes, building rapport and understanding their needs.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and studio meetings.
  • Ensure the studio space is clean, organized, and ready for classes.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training (RYT 200) certification from a recognized yoga alliance.
  • Proficiency in teaching various yoga styles (e.g., Vinyasa, Hatha, Restorative).
  • Fluent in English with excellent verbal communication and instructional skills.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience teaching group yoga classes.
  • Strong understanding of human anatomy and physiology relative to yoga practice.
  • Ability to adapt teaching style to accommodate diverse student needs and abilities.
  • Passion for health, wellness, and the transformative power of yoga.
  • Positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and a professional demeanor.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Additional certifications (e.g., RYT 500, Prenatal Yoga, Kids Yoga, specific workshops).
  • Experience with other wellness modalities (e.g., Pilates, meditation).
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Proven track record of building and retaining a loyal student base.
  • Familiarity with studio management software.
