Job Description

This is a pivotal opportunity for an astute and energetic A&R Talent Scout to join a forward-thinking team focused on shaping the sound of tomorrow. We are actively seeking an individual with a profound passion for music across diverse genres, a keen ear for commercial viability, and an exceptional ability to identify emerging artists before they hit the mainstream. As an A&R Talent Scout, you will be the eyes and ears of our operation on the ground in Reading and beyond, attending live shows, scouting online platforms, and networking tirelessly to discover and cultivate the freshest musical talent.

Your mission will extend beyond mere discovery; you will be instrumental in evaluating artists’ creative potential, understanding their brand, and assessing their market appeal. This role demands a proactive approach to building relationships within the music community, including artists, producers, managers, and industry tastemakers. You’ll be expected to present your findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders, articulating compelling arguments for potential signings based on both artistic merit and strategic fit.

We envision someone who is not afraid to dig deep, explore unconventional avenues, and trust their gut instincts. This isn’t just about finding artists; it’s about identifying true collaborators who possess longevity and star power. You’ll play a crucial role in the initial artist development phase, offering feedback, guiding creative direction, and ensuring that potential signings align with our vision and values. A solid understanding of current music trends, production techniques, and digital distribution landscapes is essential. If you live and breathe music, possess an innate ability to connect with people, and are ready to contribute to a vibrant and evolving music ecosystem, we encourage you to apply. This immediate hire position offers the chance to make a significant impact on emerging careers and the broader music industry.
