As a Flooring Installer, you will be a vital part of our mission, responsible for the precise and professional installation of various flooring materials, including ceramic tiles, porcelain tiles, natural stone, vinyl plank, laminate, luxury vinyl tile (LVT), broadloom carpet, and hardwood. Your expertise will directly impact the aesthetic appeal and longevity of our clients’ spaces, ensuring every floor laid meets our rigorous standards of craftsmanship and durability. This role demands not only technical proficiency but also a commitment to safety, efficiency, and exceptional customer satisfaction. You will be expected to read and interpret blueprints and specifications to determine the layout and installation methods best suited for each unique project.
You will work on a diverse range of projects, from intricate residential renovations and modern home constructions to large-scale commercial developments, retail spaces, and institutional buildings. This means collaborating closely with project managers, interior designers, clients, and other tradespeople to ensure seamless project execution and adherence to project timelines. Your day-to-day will involve meticulously preparing subfloors, including leveling and cleaning, accurately measuring and cutting materials with precision tools, applying appropriate adhesives, grouting, and ensuring a flawless finish that exceeds client expectations. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare subfloors by cleaning, leveling, and repairing surfaces to ensure optimal installation.
- Accurately measure and cut various flooring materials (tiles, wood, laminate, carpet, vinyl) according to project specifications and blueprints.
- Install flooring materials precisely, applying appropriate adhesives, grouts, or fasteners.
- Ensure all installations meet industry standards, company quality guidelines, and client expectations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve on-site installation challenges effectively and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, and other team members regarding project progress and any potential issues.
- Care for and maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order.
- Manage material waste efficiently and contribute to cost-effective project execution.
- Provide advice to clients on flooring maintenance and care post-installation.
Required Skills
- Proven proficiency in installing various flooring types (tile, wood, laminate, carpet, vinyl)
- Excellent measurement and calculation skills, including ability to read blueprints and layouts
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality craftsmanship
- Physical stamina and dexterity to handle heavy materials and perform demanding tasks
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Problem-solving skills and adaptability to different site conditions
- Knowledge of safety procedures and best practices in construction
- Valid driver's license
