Key Responsibilities
- Prepare soil for planting, including tilling, fertilizing, and creating beds.
- Planting seeds, seedlings, and young plants according to established guidelines.
- Perform regular weeding, thinning, and pest control using appropriate methods.
- Operate and maintain basic farm machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist with irrigation systems, ensuring crops receive adequate water.
- Harvest crops by hand or using simple tools, following quality and safety protocols.
- Sort, clean, and package harvested produce for transportation and storage.
- Assist with general farm maintenance, including fence repair, clearing debris, and upkeep of farm buildings.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to achieve daily and seasonal goals.
Required Skills
- Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
