In this dynamic remote position, you will be responsible for the full spectrum of accounts receivable activities. This includes the accurate and timely generation, distribution, and posting of client invoices, meticulous tracking of payments, and proactive follow-up on overdue accounts through various communication channels including email and phone. You will manage client queries related to billing and payments, resolving discrepancies swiftly and professionally to maintain strong client relationships and contribute to overall client satisfaction. Furthermore, you will reconcile accounts, prepare aging reports, and contribute to month-end closing procedures, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end accounts receivable process, including invoicing, collections, and cash application.
  • Generate and distribute accurate client invoices in a timely manner.
  • Proactively follow up on overdue accounts via phone and email to ensure timely payment.
  • Reconcile customer accounts, resolve payment discrepancies, and process adjustments as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records and accounts receivable ledger.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly accounts receivable aging reports and other relevant financial analyses.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., sales, client services) to resolve billing issues and improve collection processes.
  • Assist with month-end closing procedures related to accounts receivable.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an Accounts Receivable or similar finance role.
  • Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage, QuickBooks) and MS Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate effectively.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload effectively in a remote setting.
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and collection procedures.
