As a Security Guard with G4S Lesotho, you will play a critical role in maintaining order, deterring crime, and ensuring the safety and security of premises, personnel, and visitors. You will be the front-line presence, responsible for monitoring access points, conducting regular patrols, and responding promptly to any security incidents or emergencies. Your keen observational skills, quick decision-making, and ability to remain calm under pressure will be essential in protecting our clients’ interests.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of designated areas, both internal and external, to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or damage.
- Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems, responding promptly to alerts and investigating suspicious activities.
- Control access to premises, verifying identification and authorizing entry for employees, visitors, and contractors.
- Enforce company policies and procedures to ensure a safe and secure environment for all.
- Respond effectively to emergencies such as medical incidents, fires, and security breaches, following established protocols.
- Prepare detailed incident reports and daily activity logs, documenting observations, activities, and occurrences.
- Provide excellent customer service, assisting visitors and staff with inquiries and directions while maintaining a professional demeanor.
Required Skills
- Valid Security Guard License (or ability to obtain one)
- Strong observational and analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English and Sesotho
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
- Basic computer literacy for report writing and system monitoring
- Physical fitness to perform duties including standing, walking, and climbing stairs for extended periods
- High level of integrity and professionalism
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a security role (e.g., military, police, private security)
- First Aid and CPR certification
- Knowledge of local security regulations and emergency procedures
