Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Delivery Driver with the safe and efficient loading and unloading of groceries and other merchandise onto and off the delivery vehicle.
- Carefully verify the accuracy of all delivery items against customer orders before departure and upon delivery.
- Navigate Maseru routes with the driver, providing directions and logistical support to ensure timely deliveries.
- Safely transport goods to designated customer locations, handling products with care to prevent damage.
- Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, confirming deliveries and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the delivery vehicle, reporting any maintenance needs.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including road safety regulations and proper handling techniques.
- Provide support for basic vehicle checks, such as fuel levels and tire pressure, and reporting any issues to the driver or supervisor.
- Handle delivery documentation, including signing off on received goods and ensuring all paperwork is correctly completed.
Required Skills
- Strong physical stamina and ability to lift and carry heavy items regularly (up to 25kg).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with drivers and customers.
