Gusri Music Productions is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Music Studio Technician Trainee to join our vibrant team in Hope Pastures, St. Andrew. As a trainee, you will work closely with our experienced audio engineers and producers, learning the intricacies of studio operations, equipment setup, recording techniques, mixing, and mastering. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior audio engineers with studio setup and breakdown for recording sessions.
  • Learn to operate and troubleshoot various studio equipment, including microphones, preamps, compressors, and mixing consoles.
  • Gain proficiency in digital audio workstations (DAWs) such as Pro Tools, Logic Pro, or Ableton Live.
  • Support the maintenance and organization of the studio, ensuring all equipment is in optimal working condition.
  • Observe and assist in recording, mixing, and mastering processes.
  • Develop an understanding of signal flow, acoustic principles, and audio cabling.
  • Handle data management for audio files and project backups.
  • Shadow engineers during live tracking, vocal recording, and instrument mic’ing.
  • Participate in studio clean-up and general administrative tasks as needed.
