Career.zycto is excited to partner with a prestigious hotel in Nairobi’s vibrant Central Park vicinity to recruit a diligent and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor. As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will be instrumental in overseeing daily housekeeping operations, ensuring that all guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces consistently meet the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and aesthetic presentation. Your leadership will be crucial in inspiring and guiding a dedicated team of housekeepers, fostering a positive work environment, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality protocols. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the housekeeping team, including housekeepers, porters, and laundry staff.
- Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas regularly to ensure cleanliness, orderliness, and adherence to hotel standards.
- Train new housekeeping staff on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and guest service expectations.
- Develop and implement work schedules for the housekeeping team to ensure adequate staffing levels at all times.
- Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and guest amenities, initiating requisitions as needed to maintain stock levels.
- Handle guest requests and complaints efficiently and courteously, ensuring prompt resolution and guest satisfaction.
- Conduct performance evaluations for team members and provide constructive feedback for professional development.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including proper handling of chemicals and equipment.
- Collaborate with the Front Office and Maintenance departments to ensure seamless guest experiences and swift resolution of any facility issues.
- Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards immediately to the appropriate department.
