Key Responsibilities
- Receive incoming merchandise, meticulously verifying quantities and product specifications against invoices and purchase orders.
- Inspect goods thoroughly for any damage, defects, or discrepancies upon arrival and report any issues promptly to the supervisor.
- Accurately sort, label, and safely store all items in their designated warehouse locations, ensuring optimal organization.
- Maintain organized and easily accessible stock areas, diligently ensuring proper stock rotation (First-In, First-Out).
- Efficiently pick and prepare orders for replenishment to the sales floor, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and responsibly, such as pallet jacks or trolleys (comprehensive training provided if needed).
- Conduct regular inventory counts and actively assist with all stock reconciliation and auditing processes.
- Ensure the warehouse environment remains consistently clean, tidy, and safe at all times, strictly adhering to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist with the careful loading and unloading of delivery vehicles as required.
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and productive team environment, offering assistance to colleagues whenever necessary.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and carrying packages weighing up to 25kg.
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional accuracy in managing inventory and documentation.
- Basic computer literacy for stock management systems (specific system training will be provided).
- Excellent organizational and effective time-management skills.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a cohesive team in a demanding, fast-paced retail environment.
