This full-time position is crucial for our mission to expertly guide companies through the intricate initial public offering process. As an IPO Specialist, you will be instrumental in managing all facets of the IPO lifecycle, from initial strategic planning and due diligence to prospectus drafting, regulatory filings, and investor relations coordination. Your role will involve close collaboration with corporate clients, legal counsel, underwriters, and regulatory bodies, ensuring compliance with all securities laws and market best practices. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all phases of the Initial Public Offering (IPO) process, from pre-IPO planning to post-listing support.
  • Conduct comprehensive due diligence, financial analysis, and market research to support IPO readiness and valuation.
  • Coordinate the preparation and review of all IPO-related documentation, including prospectuses, registration statements, and investor presentations.
  • Liaise effectively with legal counsel, auditors, underwriters, and regulatory bodies (e.g., TSX, BCSC) to ensure compliance and timely execution.
  • Develop and implement robust project plans, timelines, and budgets for IPO engagements.
  • Advise clients on capital market structures, regulatory requirements, corporate governance, and investor relations strategies.
  • Monitor market trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscapes to provide strategic insights to clients.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for internal stakeholders and client executive teams.
  • Facilitate communication and information flow among all parties involved in the IPO process.
  • Contribute to business development initiatives by identifying potential IPO candidates and presenting our services.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of direct experience in capital markets, investment banking, or corporate finance with a focus on IPOs.
  • In-depth knowledge of securities regulations, corporate finance principles, and Canadian capital markets.
  • Proven experience in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and due diligence processes.
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Superior analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating complex financial concepts clearly.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Preferred Qualifications

  • CFA or CPA designation highly preferred.
  • Master's degree in Finance or MBA.
  • Experience working with both emerging growth and established companies.
  • Familiarity with various stock exchange listing requirements (e.g., TSX, TSX-V).
  • Strong network within the Canadian financial community.
