Job Description

The Learning and Development Manager will be a cornerstone of our human capital strategy at Career.zycto. This pivotal full-time role, based in our vibrant Topeka office, is designed for an experienced and visionary professional passionate about fostering growth, enhancing capabilities, and driving a culture of continuous learning. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of learning and development initiatives, from comprehensive needs assessment and strategic program design to meticulous implementation, engaging delivery, and rigorous evaluation. This includes adeptly identifying skill gaps across various departments, crafting innovative and highly effective training solutions – encompassing both critical technical skills and essential soft skills – and precisely measuring their tangible impact on individual performance and overarching organizational goals. We seek a leader who can not only oversee existing programs but also spearhead innovation, bringing fresh, cutting-edge ideas and best practices to continuously evolve our learning ecosystem.

You will collaborate closely with senior leadership, HR business partners, and departmental heads to ensure that all L&D strategies are meticulously aligned with Career.zycto’s overarching business objectives. A key aspect of this role involves leveraging diverse, modern learning methodologies, including interactive e-learning platforms, dynamic instructor-led workshops, personalized coaching, structured mentoring programs, and immersive experiential learning opportunities. Your ability to create compelling and relevant learning content, facilitate impactful and dynamic sessions, and inspire a company-wide commitment to personal and professional development will be absolutely crucial for success. Furthermore, you will strategically manage external vendor relationships for specialized training programs, diligently oversee the L&D budget to maximize impact, and ensure all programs strictly comply with relevant industry standards and internal company policies. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough learning needs assessments to identify skill gaps and development opportunities across the organization.
  • Design, develop, and implement engaging and effective learning programs, including workshops, e-learning modules, coaching, and mentoring initiatives.
  • Manage the full training cycle, from conceptual design to delivery and post-training evaluation of effectiveness and ROI.
  • Collaborate with HR business partners and departmental leaders to align L&D initiatives with strategic business goals and talent pipelines.
  • Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and team-building activities, fostering a positive and interactive learning environment.
  • Evaluate the impact of learning programs using various metrics and adjust strategies to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Research and integrate innovative learning technologies and methodologies to enhance the learning experience.
  • Manage relationships with external training vendors and consultants, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Oversee the L&D budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive learning materials, guides, and resources.
  • Champion a culture of continuous learning and professional development across all levels of the organization.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in Learning & Development, corporate training, or talent management.
  • Proven experience in instructional design and curriculum development for diverse audiences.
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and inspire learners.
  • Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning authoring tools.
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess training needs and evaluate program effectiveness.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Organizational Development, Adult Education, or a related field.
  • Certifications in L&D, instructional design, change management (e.g., CPLP, ATD certifications).
  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth professional services or HR technology environment.
  • Familiarity with various learning theories and modern adult learning principles.
  • Experience managing external vendor relationships and contracts.
  • Data-driven approach to L&D, with a focus on metrics and analytics.
