Career.zycto is actively seeking a passionate and dedicated Zoologist to join our network of environmental professionals contributing to vital research and conservation efforts in the beautiful Okanagan Valley, Kelowna, British Columbia. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct fieldwork to observe, monitor, and collect data on animal populations, species distribution, and habitat use.
- Perform detailed scientific analysis of biological samples, observational data, and ecological metrics.
- Utilize GIS and statistical software for data interpretation and spatial analysis.
- Prepare comprehensive scientific reports, peer-reviewed articles, and presentations for various stakeholders.
- Assist in the development and implementation of conservation management plans and strategies.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including other scientists, researchers, and local communities.
- Ensure strict adherence to ethical guidelines and safety protocols during all field and laboratory work.
- Contribute to public education and outreach initiatives to raise awareness about wildlife conservation.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in zoological research, wildlife biology, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of ecological principles, animal behavior, and conservation biology.
- Proficiency in data collection, statistical analysis, and scientific reporting.
- Experience with field techniques, including trapping, tagging, and biological sampling.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in diverse field conditions.

Preferred Qualifications
