Job Description
Career.zycto is proud to partner with a pioneering research institution in Downtown Meridian, dedicated to advancing our understanding of viral diseases and developing innovative solutions for global health. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Full-Time Virologist to join their dynamic team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a talented scientist to contribute significantly to cutting-edge research in a collaborative and intellectually stimulating environment.
In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in designing, executing, and analyzing complex experiments focused on viral replication, pathogenesis, immunology, and the development of novel antiviral strategies. You will work with diverse viral systems, employing a broad array of molecular, cellular, and immunological techniques. Your expertise will be crucial in deciphering host-virus interactions, identifying new therapeutic targets, and contributing to vaccine development initiatives.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep theoretical understanding of virology coupled with extensive hands-on laboratory experience. You will be expected to work independently while also collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including immunologists, biochemists, and clinicians. Strong critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and meticulous attention to detail are paramount. This position demands a proactive individual who is passionate about scientific discovery, committed to rigorous research practices, and eager to publish high-impact findings in leading scientific journals.
Beyond the bench, you will be responsible for interpreting and presenting research data, contributing to grant proposals, and mentoring junior scientists. This role offers the chance to make a tangible impact on public health, working on projects that address pressing global challenges such as emerging infectious diseases and antibiotic resistance. If you are an innovative Virologist driven by the potential to translate fundamental research into real-world applications, we encourage you to apply and join a team pushing the boundaries of scientific knowledge.
