Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Gardener passionate about creating and maintaining stunning outdoor environments. As a key contributor to our client’s team in Bassin, Quatre Bornes, you will be instrumental in ensuring the aesthetic appeal and healthy growth of their compounds and landscaped areas. Key Responsibilities
- Perform general garden maintenance including mowing, weeding, pruning, watering, and fertilizing.
- Plant, cultivate, and maintain various types of flowers, shrubs, trees, and groundcover.
- Design and implement landscape improvements and seasonal planting schemes.
- Operate and maintain a range of gardening tools and machinery safely and effectively.
- Monitor plant health, identify pests and diseases, and apply appropriate treatments.
- Ensure irrigation systems are functioning correctly and efficiently.
- Keep all landscaped areas clean, tidy, and aesthetically pleasing.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Manage waste and compost effectively, promoting sustainable practices.
- Collaborate with other team members or external contractors as needed for larger projects.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in gardening and landscaping.
- Strong knowledge of horticulture, plant species, and garden maintenance techniques.
- Ability to operate and maintain various gardening equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers, etc.).
- Excellent understanding of plant health, pest control, and disease management.
- Physical fitness and stamina to perform demanding outdoor tasks in various weather conditions.
