Key Responsibilities

  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Assist with bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance.
  • Prepare and submit expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Support the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
  • Assist with payroll processing and related statutory submissions.
  • Maintain organised and up-to-date financial records and filing systems.
  • Respond to financial queries from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Perform data entry and administrative tasks as required by the finance team.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in an accounting or finance support role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • AAT qualification or working towards it.
  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage, QuickBooks).
  • Familiarity with UK VAT and payroll regulations.
