Job Description
Career.zycto is actively seeking a highly skilled and proactive Systems Administrator to join our dynamic team in Wimbledon, London. This is an immediate hiring opportunity for an individual passionate about maintaining robust, secure, and efficient IT infrastructure. In this pivotal role, you will be the backbone of our operational stability, ensuring seamless performance across our diverse systems and networks. We are looking for someone with a strong technical foundation, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.
As a Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management, monitoring, and troubleshooting of our server infrastructure, network devices, operating systems (both Windows and Linux environments), and associated applications. Your expertise will directly contribute to safeguarding our data, optimizing system performance, and supporting our internal teams with their technological needs. This includes managing user accounts, permissions, email systems, and ensuring endpoint security. This role offers the chance to work with a range of cutting-edge technologies, from cloud platforms like AWS or Azure to on-premise virtualized solutions, and provides ample opportunities for professional growth and skill development through continuous learning initiatives.
We envision a candidate who is not just a reactive troubleshooter but also a strategic thinker, capable of identifying potential issues before they arise and implementing preventative measures. You will play a crucial part in system upgrades, patch management, vulnerability assessments, security audits, and disaster recovery planning and execution. Proactively managing system backups and ensuring data integrity will be a core responsibility. Furthermore, you will be instrumental in evaluating new technologies and recommending solutions that align with our strategic objectives, enhancing our overall IT landscape.
Collaboration is key at Career.zycto; you will work closely with other IT professionals, developers, and project managers to deploy new solutions, automate routine tasks, and enhance existing ones. Strong communication skills are essential for documenting processes, providing clear support to end-users, and effectively articulating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Your contribution will be vital in maintaining our high standards of service delivery and ensuring that our technological foundation remains robust, scalable, and resilient against emerging threats. If you are an experienced Systems Administrator eager to make an immediate impact and grow with a forward-thinking company that values innovation and reliability, we encourage you to apply and help us shape the future of our IT operations.
