Career.zycto is actively seeking a highly detail-oriented and experienced Remote Payroll Coordinator to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for our diverse workforce across Canada. Key Responsibilities

  • Process bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Manage all aspects of payroll, including wages, benefits, deductions, garnishments, and remittances.
  • Reconcile payroll data, generate reports for accounting and management, and assist with month-end and year-end close procedures.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation, ensuring compliance with provincial and federal requirements.
  • Respond to and resolve employee payroll inquiries in a timely, professional, and confidential manner.
  • Administer vacation, sick leave, and other leave entitlements.
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to ensure seamless integration of payroll data.
  • Assist with internal and external audits related to payroll.

Required Skills

  • 3+ years of progressive experience in Canadian payroll administration.
  • Proficiency with major payroll software (e.g., ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian Dayforce).
  • Solid understanding of Canadian payroll legislation, including CRA regulations and provincial labour laws.
  • Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas).
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with employees and internal teams.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification is highly preferred.
  • Experience with HRIS systems integration with payroll.
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
