Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and process a high volume of court documentation, including filings, applications, and correspondence, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
  • Maintain and update physical and electronic case files, ensuring all records are organised, easily retrievable, and adhere to established protocols.
  • Provide administrative support to judges, legal professionals, and court staff, including scheduling appointments, preparing correspondence, and managing diaries.
  • Assist members of the public and legal representatives with enquiries, providing clear and accurate information regarding court procedures and case statuses, while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Oversee the processing of fees and payments, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and reconciled according to financial guidelines.
  • Prepare courtrooms for hearings, trials, and meetings, ensuring all necessary documentation and equipment are in place.
  • Liaise effectively with internal departments and external stakeholders, including solicitors, barristers, and other government agencies.
  • Adhere strictly to data protection regulations, confidentiality policies, and all relevant legal and procedural guidelines.
  • Operate and maintain office equipment, including printers, scanners, and case management systems.

Required Skills

  • Proven administrative or clerical experience, preferably within a regulated or public sector environment.
