Career.zycto is seeking a highly creative, organized, and experienced freelance Event Planner specializing in both wedding and corporate events to join our growing network in Reading, Montego Bay. As a freelance Event Planner, you will be instrumental in conceptualizing, planning, and executing a wide range of events, from intimate weddings and grand celebrations to impactful corporate conferences and product launches. We are looking for someone with a proven track record of bringing client visions to life, managing complex logistics, and ensuring seamless execution from start to finish.

You will be responsible for understanding client needs, developing detailed proposals, managing budgets, and coordinating all aspects of event production. Key Responsibilities

  • Consult with clients to understand their vision, objectives, and budget for wedding and corporate events.
  • Develop comprehensive event proposals, including themes, concepts, timelines, and detailed cost estimates.
  • Source, negotiate, and manage relationships with vendors (venues, caterers, decorators, entertainment, photographers, etc.) to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Create and manage event timelines, schedules, and critical path documents to ensure all deadlines are met.
  • Oversee all logistical aspects, including site selection, layout, permits, transportation, accommodation, and audiovisual requirements.
  • Manage event budgets, track expenses, and provide regular financial updates to clients.
  • Coordinate on-site event execution, acting as the primary point of contact for clients and vendors, troubleshooting any issues that arise.
  • Ensure all events comply with safety regulations and local ordinances.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations, gather feedback, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Maintain a portfolio of successful events and stay updated with industry trends and best practices.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in event planning, specifically with both wedding and corporate events.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards.

  • Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
