Job Description
Career.zycto is on the lookout for a talented and driven UI/UX Designer to join our network on a remote contract basis, primarily serving our clients based in Singapore. This role offers an incredible opportunity to leverage your design expertise across a variety of exciting projects, ranging from innovative web applications to intuitive mobile interfaces and sophisticated enterprise solutions. As a remote contractor, you’ll be integral in transforming complex ideas into user-friendly and aesthetically pleasing digital experiences, working independently while collaborating closely with remote development teams, product managers, and other stakeholders. You will be responsible for the entire design lifecycle, from initial concept and user research to wireframing, prototyping, and final UI implementation hand-off. We seek a designer who thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses a keen eye for detail, and is passionate about creating impactful digital products that delight users and achieve business objectives. This contract position demands a high degree of self-motivation, excellent communication skills to articulate design decisions effectively, and a proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and analyze feedback to inform design decisions.
- Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps.
- Develop high-fidelity prototypes and mockups for web and mobile interfaces.
- Design intuitive, engaging, and aesthetically pleasing user interfaces.
- Translate concepts into user flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences.
- Present and defend designs and key milestone deliverables to peers and executive-level stakeholders.
- Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to define and implement innovative solutions for product direction, visuals, and experience.
- Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices, and standards.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest UI/UX trends, techniques, and technologies.
Required Skills
- Proven UI/UX design experience with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse projects.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
- Solid understanding of user-centered design (UCD) principles and methodologies.
- Experience with responsive and adaptive design principles for various platforms.
- Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction.
- Ability to present your designs and articulate your design decisions and rationale effectively.
- Demonstrable ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills essential for a remote work setup.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with animation and micro-interactions to enhance user engagement.
- Familiarity with front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to understand implementation constraints.
- Experience with design systems implementation and maintenance.
