Key Responsibilities
- Proactively scout and identify emerging musical talent across various genres (e.g., pop, hip-hop, R&B, country, indie) through live performances, digital platforms, social media, and industry referrals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with artists, producers, managers, and other key industry contacts.
- Attend live shows, showcases, and music industry events regularly, both locally and regionally, to discover and evaluate new talent.
- Conduct thorough research and analysis of market trends, competitor activities, and artist performance data to inform A&R strategies.
- Prepare comprehensive artist profiles, demo submissions, and presentation materials for internal review.
- Collaborate with legal and business affairs teams to negotiate and secure recording and publishing agreements.
- Work closely with signed artists on their creative development, including song selection, production guidance, and artistic direction.
- Act as a primary point of contact for assigned artists, offering support and guidance throughout their career trajectory.
- Contribute to the strategic planning and execution of A&R initiatives and goals.
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance to artists to enhance their craft and commercial viability.
