Key Responsibilities
- Support the A&R team in scouting and identifying emerging artists across various genres.
- Assist with the review and cataloging of demo submissions and unsolicited material.
- Conduct thorough market research on music industry trends, competitor activities, and artist performance.
- Contribute to artist development strategies, including branding, content creation, and promotional initiatives.
- Maintain and update artist databases and contact lists with accurate and relevant information.
- Prepare reports and presentations on potential talent and market analysis.
- Provide administrative support to the A&R department as needed.
- Attend and report on virtual or local music showcases and industry events (when applicable).
Required Skills
- Strong passion for music and a comprehensive understanding of current music trends and genres.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in G-Suite or Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities, capable of handling multiple tasks.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant post-secondary program (e.g., Music Business, Arts Management, Communications, Marketing, Entertainment Studies).
