We are seeking a diligent and meticulous Industrial Cleaner to join our client’s manufacturing plant team in Machakos, Machakos County. This pivotal role ensures the maintenance of a clean, safe, and organized operational environment, which is crucial for productivity, product quality, and employee well-being. As an Industrial Cleaner, you will be responsible for upholding the highest standards of cleanliness across the manufacturing facility, including production areas, warehouses, common spaces, and offices. Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily cleaning and sanitization of manufacturing areas, production lines, machinery, and equipment according to strict hygiene standards and schedules.
- Operate and maintain industrial cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, pressure washers, vacuum cleaners, and other specialized tools.
- Empty waste bins and manage proper disposal of industrial waste, recyclables, and hazardous materials in designated areas.
- Clean and disinfect common areas, restrooms, breakrooms, and office spaces within the manufacturing plant.
- Sweep, mop, and polish floors, ensuring slip hazards are promptly addressed.
- Dust and wipe down surfaces, fixtures, and structural elements to maintain a professional and clean appearance.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines when handling cleaning chemicals and operating equipment, utilizing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Report any maintenance needs, damaged equipment, or safety hazards to supervisors promptly.
- Assist with periodic deep cleaning tasks and special projects as required.
- Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other relevant industry regulations.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and request replenishment as needed.
Required Skills
- Physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks, lift moderate weights, and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
