Career.zycto is actively seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Swimming Program Helper to join our team in Machava, Matola. This full-time, on-site role is perfect for individuals passionate about aquatics, community service, and supporting the development of essential life skills. As a Swimming Program Helper, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of our swimming lessons and recreational programs, contributing directly to a positive learning environment for participants of all ages and skill levels. Your primary objective will be to assist our certified swimming instructors, helping to manage groups, prepare equipment, and provide hands-on support to swimmers as they learn and practice. Key Responsibilities
- Assist certified swimming instructors during lessons, ensuring effective supervision of participants.
- Prepare and organize all necessary equipment before and after swimming sessions, including floats, kickboards, and other teaching aids.
- Provide direct assistance and encouragement to participants, helping them with exercises, drills, and water adjustment.
- Maintain a safe and clean pool deck and surrounding areas, adhering strictly to health and safety protocols.
- Help with participant registration, attendance tracking, and communication with parents/guardians as needed.
- Act as a positive role model, promoting good sportsmanship and a love for aquatic activities.
- Support the implementation of emergency procedures and assist in responding to incidents swiftly and appropriately.
- Attend regular team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and program delivery.
- Assist with basic first aid when necessary, under the guidance of certified personnel.
- Contribute to a welcoming and inclusive environment for all program participants.
Required Skills
- Strong swimming abilities and comfort in various water depths.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially with children and adults.
- Reliability and punctuality with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow instructions meticulously and work effectively within a team.
- Basic understanding of water safety principles and emergency procedures.
