Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for patients, evaluating dietary habits, lifestyle, and health goals.
- Develop and implement personalized, evidence-based meal plans and dietary recommendations tailored to individual patient needs and medical conditions.
- Provide one-on-one counseling and ongoing support to patients, motivating them towards healthier eating habits and lifestyle changes.
- Educate patients and their families on nutritional principles, food preparation, healthy shopping, and disease prevention through diet.
- Collaborate effectively with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to integrate nutritional care into overall patient treatment plans.
- Design and deliver group workshops, presentations, and educational programs on various health and wellness topics.
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress, making necessary adjustments to dietary plans and interventions.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, documenting assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
- Stay updated with the latest research and developments in nutrition science and incorporate best practices into patient care.
- Contribute to the development of educational materials and resources for patient and community outreach.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience as a Nutritionist or Dietitian.
- Proficiency in developing personalized diet plans for various health conditions (e.g., diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular diseases).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
