Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Part-Time Dental Office Assistant to join our expanding dental unit at Wete Hospital in Kangagani, Wete. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about healthcare and eager to contribute to the oral health of our community. As a Dental Office Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice, providing essential support to our dentists and creating a welcoming environment for our patients. You will be the first point of contact for many patients, setting the tone for their visit. Your day will involve managing appointment schedules, handling patient inquiries, updating records, and preparing treatment rooms. Beyond administrative duties, you will assist dentists during various procedures, ensuring that all necessary instruments and materials are ready and sterilized. Key Responsibilities
- Warmly welcome and check-in patients, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, managing the dental clinic's calendar efficiently.
- Maintain and update accurate patient records, both physical and electronic, ensuring confidentiality.
- Prepare treatment rooms for patients, ensuring they are clean, sterilized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Assist dentists during examinations and various dental procedures, handing instruments and materials as required.
- Sterilize dental instruments and equipment following strict infection control guidelines.
- Provide patients with post-treatment instructions and oral hygiene education.
- Manage inventory of dental supplies, placing orders when necessary to ensure adequate stock levels.
- Handle billing procedures, process payments, and assist patients with insurance inquiries.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental office and waiting areas.
