As a Darkroom Technician, you will play a crucial role in bringing images to life. Key Responsibilities
- Learn and execute the full process of developing black and white and color film, adhering to strict chemical and temperature guidelines.
- Master various printing techniques, including enlargements, contact prints, and dodging/burning, to achieve desired artistic and technical results.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of darkroom equipment, including enlargers, processors, and sinks.
- Accurately mix and monitor chemical solutions, ensuring proper safety protocols and disposal procedures are followed.
- Conduct quality control checks on all developed film and prints to maintain the highest standards of excellence.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe darkroom environment at all times.
- Assist with inventory management of film, paper, and chemistry supplies.
- Collaborate with senior technicians and photographers on various projects, contributing to a team-oriented workflow.
- Continuously learn new techniques and processes to enhance skills and contribute to innovation within the darkroom.
