Career.zycto is seeking an exceptionally skilled and proactive Network Architect for an immediate full-time hire. In this critical role, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and managing robust, scalable, and secure network infrastructures that support our growing operations in Bothfeld, Hanover. As a Network Architect, you will be responsible for translating business requirements into technical network solutions, ensuring high availability, performance, and security across all network layers. You will lead the architectural evolution of our enterprise networks, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, data centers, and cloud connectivity, while ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices. Key Responsibilities
- Design, plan, and implement complex network infrastructures (LAN, WAN, WLAN, Data Center, Cloud connectivity) aligning with business objectives and security policies.
- Develop and maintain network architecture documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and operational procedures.
- Evaluate new network technologies and make recommendations for their integration into existing infrastructure.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex network issues, ensuring minimal downtime and effective resolution.
- Collaborate with security teams to ensure network designs incorporate best practices for threat mitigation and data protection.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to network engineering teams.
- Manage vendor relationships and evaluate new products and services for network enhancements.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Network Architect or Senior Network Engineer.
- Expertise in routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP, VLANs).
- Strong knowledge of firewall technologies (e.g., Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, Fortinet) and network security principles.
- Experience with cloud networking (Azure, AWS, GCP) and hybrid cloud architectures.
- Proficiency in network monitoring and management tools.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Fluency in English (verbal and written).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Industry certifications such as CCIE, CCNP, JNCIE, or equivalent.
- Experience with SDN/NFV technologies (e.g., Cisco ACI, VMware NSX).
- Familiarity with automation and scripting (Python, Ansible) for network management.
- Knowledge of German language is a plus.
