Job Description

Career.zycto is actively seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Full-Time Radiologist to join a dynamic healthcare team in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. This is an exceptional opportunity for a Board-Certified Radiologist to practice in a supportive, modern facility committed to advanced patient care. In this role, you will be instrumental in diagnosing and treating diseases and injuries using medical imaging techniques such as X-rays, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, and nuclear medicine. You will collaborate closely with referring physicians and specialists, providing crucial diagnostic interpretations that directly influence patient management and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret diagnostic imaging studies including X-rays, CT, MRI, ultrasound, and nuclear medicine with precision and timeliness.
  • Perform image-guided procedures such as biopsies, aspirations, and drainages, as required.
  • Provide clear, concise, and clinically relevant reports to referring physicians and healthcare teams.
  • Consult with clinicians to discuss patient cases, recommend appropriate imaging protocols, and ensure optimal patient management.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and clinical conferences.
  • Contribute to quality assurance and improvement initiatives within the radiology department.
  • Stay current with advancements in radiology through continuous professional development and education.
  • Adhere to all provincial and national professional, ethical, and legal standards of practice.
  • Supervise and mentor radiology technologists and other allied health professionals as appropriate.

Required Skills

  • Medical Degree (MD) from an accredited institution.
  • Current certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Diagnostic Radiology.
  • Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS).
  • Minimum of 2 years post-fellowship/board certification experience in diagnostic radiology.
  • Proficiency in interpreting a broad spectrum of imaging modalities.
  • Excellent diagnostic acumen and clinical judgment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Commitment to patient safety and quality care.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Subspecialty fellowship training (e.g., neuroradiology, musculoskeletal radiology, body imaging).
  • Experience with advanced imaging techniques and software.
  • Demonstrated experience in a teaching or academic hospital setting.
  • Record of participation in research or quality improvement projects.
  • Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset.
