Career.zycto is on an urgent mission to discover the next generation of musical pioneers, and we’re seeking an exceptional A&R Talent Scout to join our dedicated team in Swansea, Wales. This is an immediate hire opportunity for a discerning individual with an insatiable passion for music, an uncanny ability to spot nascent talent, and a deep understanding of evolving soundscapes. As an A&R Talent Scout, you will be the eyes and ears on the ground, immersing yourself in the vibrant local and national music scenes, attending live performances, scouting digital platforms, and cultivating relationships with artists, producers, and industry tastemakers.

Your primary objective will be to identify artists with unique voices, compelling narratives, and undeniable commercial potential, bringing them into the Career.zycto fold. You will play a crucial role in shaping their artistic journey, providing creative feedback, facilitating demo submissions, and presenting compelling cases for signing to our executive team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Actively scout and identify emerging musical talent across various genres through live shows, digital platforms, and industry networks.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with artists, managers, producers, promoters, and key industry influencers.
  • Evaluate artist demos, online presence, and live performances to assess potential for development and commercial success.
  • Conduct thorough market research and competitor analysis to identify trends and opportunities in the music landscape.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations on prospective artists, outlining their artistic vision, market appeal, and strategic value.
  • Facilitate artist development by providing constructive creative feedback and guidance.
  • Negotiate and assist in the structuring of recording and publishing deals.
  • Attend industry events, showcases, and festivals to expand network and discover new talent.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, including marketing, legal, and artist relations, to ensure seamless artist integration and support.
  • Stay abreast of new technologies and platforms impacting music discovery and consumption.
