Key Responsibilities
- Proactively identify, scout, and evaluate new musical talent through various channels, including live shows, social media, online platforms, and industry networks.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with artists, producers, managers, and other industry professionals.
- Attend concerts, showcases, and industry events to discover and assess potential signings.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of artist demos, recordings, and live performances to determine commercial viability and artistic merit.
- Prepare detailed artist reports, competitive analysis, and strategic proposals for potential signings.
- Negotiate and facilitate artist agreements and contracts in collaboration with legal and management teams.
- Provide creative input and guidance to artists on song selection, production, image, and overall career development.
- Collaborate with marketing and PR teams to develop and execute strategies for artist launches and ongoing promotion.
- Stay abreast of current music trends, industry shifts, and emerging technologies.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (3+ years) in A&R, artist management, music publishing, or a related field within the music industry.
- Exceptional ear for identifying commercially viable and artistically compelling talent across multiple genres.
- Strong understanding of music production, songwriting, and artist development processes.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in digital music platforms, social media, and industry-standard software.
